Denzel Valentine is an American college basketball player who currently plays for the Michigan State Spartans. He plays as a shooting guard. He is going to be one of the top picks in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Denzel Valentine was born on November 16, 1993 in Michigan. He attended J.W. Sexton School, where he was coached by his father, Carlton Valentine. Valentine was selected to be the Lansing State Journal Player of the Year and Associated Press Class B Player of the Year as a senior. He then enrolled in Michigan State University. He currently is playing for the Michigan State Spartans as a shooting guard.
Denzel Valentine’s older brother Drew played collegiate basketball for Oakland University, and is now an assistant coach there.
