Udita Goswami was born on February 9, 1984, in Dehradun to a father from Varanasi and a mother from Shillong. Her grandmother came from Nepal and sister of Prime Minister Tulsi Giri. She raised up in Kathmandu, Nepal. Later moved to Uttarakhand. She studied in Maa Anandmayi Memorial and D.A.V. Public schools until the 8th standard.
Goswami always wanted to be part of showbiz, she was not quite happy with her life in Dehradun. She started her career as a model. When she proposed to re-locate to Bombay, her parents initially opposed, but subsequently let her have her own way.
Her first film is “Paap” directed by filmmaker, Pooja Bhatt. After releasing her first remix music video “Kya Khoob Lagti Ho”, she was most popular. Udita Goswami also involved in political awareness and done a show for “Sick Kids Foundation”.
