Amrita Puri is an Indian film actress. She is the daughter of Aditya Puri, Managing Director of HDFC Bank. She started her career through writing and doing theatre, with her first play being Quasar Thakore Padamsee‘s English play ‘during’ View From The Stage and Scherazade Kaiokobad’s “Retellings” after completing her post-graduation. She began her career in the Bollywood industry with romantic comedy flick, Aisha (2010). with the role of Shefali Thakur. In 2013 she appeared in Kai Po Che! as female lead Vidhya Bhatt. Her character was Sushant Singh Rajput(Ishaan)’s sister and Raj Kumar Yadav‘s love-interest and then wife. The film was based by Chetan Bhagat‘s novel.
