Brandon Lee was born on February 1, 1965, in Oakland, California. He was the son of martial arts film actor Bruce Lee and teacher Linda Lee Cadwell, the grandson of Cantonese opera singer Lee Hoi-chuen, and brother of Shannon Lee.

Brandon died on March 31, 1993, during the shooting scene in his movie The Crow. He was shot with a real bullet instead of a fake one used in films. He was trained in Jeet Kune Do, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, and Shaolin Kung-Fu.
